A Red Circle Celebrates Donors at the Nexus’ Preview

Last Thursday evening marked one of this year’s highlights for A Red Circle. Our Donor Appreciation event took place at the new North County Community Nexus (9312 Lewis and Clark Blvd, Jennings, MO 63136) – a space created to uplift and serve the community. The special outing was meant to personally thank residents and partners for the incredible, timely support given to the organization as we continue to blossom and be a resource to St. Louis residents.

“I’m honored to be part of providing a safe space for folks to reach their potential, said Joe Mintzer, board member. “It’s great to see folks feel confident in being themselves while also being of service to others.”

From community advocates and vendors to A Red Circle’s board members and family/friends of staff, a host of guests dropped in to savor delicious food and drinks made with fresh produce and fruit from our farms. Rosemary turkey meatballs, BBQ sliders, chick pea tuna, vegan chocolate chip cookies, and vegan pesto were a few tasty examples of culinary treats  on the menu, made fresh by Chef Joya and Chef Jessica Moore.

“Chef Jess and I have been at this for awhile,” said Chef Joya. “It feels wonderful to have an opportunity to be able to help the community fill their bodies in healthy, joyful ways.”

In addition to the social and dining experience, Robert Cleveland, A Red Circle’s Project Manager of Bistro on the Boulevard, gave exciting news on Bistro on the Boulevard’s upcoming premier inside the Nexus. He also provided an update on the soon-to-be produce market next door, a store that will house all-natural products from organic food growers. Trevor Green, Director of Development and Strategy at A Red Circle, also publicly thanked guests for their longtime generosity over the course of the organization’s growth.

“I’m glad we’re able to recognize our supporters and that we can tell them all the good things going on at A Red Circle,” said Rochelle Gray of Government and Community Relations.
